Weeden 49

This could possibly compete with my Weeden 3 as the oldest Weeden i have. This is a Weeden 49 which was made
from 1898 to 1926. Now the Weeden 3 was first produced earlier in 1894 but continued in production until the 1940s.
As you can see this one is pretty rough. It's missing one of the flywheels, the smokestack, dummy govenor, whistle top,
regulator and whistle levers. Also at some point it has had a very messy repair to the top of the boiler.

Video here.

Here are some close-up shots of the engine.

Base and engine frame have been repainted and I have test fitted the new cast flywheel.

The boiler and firebox have been cleaned. The engine has been reassembled with the new eccentric and successfully test run on air.

The smokestack and cap has been manufactured, just the whistle top and burner left.

The finished engine with all it's new parts..
