D.K. Machine Products Model Steam Engine

Ok, no idea what this one is! Clearly a commercially made engine, it has what appears to be "MP" cast
into the base. The boiler, whistle, safety valve and regulator all have a very "Empire" feel to them.
Missing the conrod end and the flywheel crank pin.

New Info!! Apparently the "MP" cast into the base stands for "Machine Products".
These engines were made by "D.K. Machine Products" in the USA in the late 1940s.

Here it is after a good clean. I have machined a crank pin and a conrod end for it.

I have successfully run the engine on compressed air however the heating element is going to need to be replaced..
