Locomotion Freelance Veranda Coach No.2

As you have probably gathered from the title, this is the second Locomotion Freelance Veranda Coach to join the
Milford Hill Light Railway's rolling stock. It would appear to be a kit built coach and is in need of a strip down and repaint.

Here it is stripped down. I've already redone the chassis and started rubbing down the body parts.

Once disassembled it was discovered that the bogies were attached to the chassis using flat brass plates as spacers.
Missing was the normal radiused end spacer which is crucial to the proper operation of the Locomotion bogie.
The radiused end of the spacer mates with a concave recess in the bogie cross piece which allows the bogie
to pivot slightly from side to side. This is very effective at keeping the coach on the rails. Fortunately i have
some spacers on my other Locomotion Coaches to take measurements from so i was able to manufacture
some replacements.

Here it is finished. Now debating whether to repaint the roof black to match the Steam Railbus twin car set.

Here is a couple of shots with it's sister Brake End Coach..
