Empire Model Number B30

This is an Empire Model No.B30, although with a rather unusal colour scheme! If you have a look at
the B30 on the Empire Model Steam Engines page you wil be able to see what it should look like.
It's missing the top of the whistle, regulator handle, sight glass and the safety valve. The B30 is a
real monster of a steam engine, the piston is 5/8" (15.75mm in new money!) in diameter! Despite
it's size it is quite happy to just chug along very slowly as can be seen from the video here.

Ok, here she is after restoration. The whistle at the moment is just for show and doesn't actually work. The nickel
plated boiler is very difficult to clean, the plate is very thin and over zealous polishing can result in a copper boiler!
